Dear Friends:
We hope you are enjoying a fun-filled summer with barbecues and trips to the beach. As usual, it is busy at the Center. Plans have been made to restructure the office to make if more functional. Stop in to check it out next time you are in Trexlertwon.
The Golf Tourney Committee wrapped up the 1st Annual Golf Tournament with much praise and accolades. We hope you made it to the picnic at the Meltzer's; there was volleyball, a moon bounce, good food and new friends. With Liz DeSantis at the helm, the Buddy Walk Crew is pushing hard to plan an incredible event at DeSales University. We hope to see you there.
Check out the articles in the new issue of the Newsletter to find out what members of the Center have been up to this summer (hint,hint-it's the great American past time). We have two great articles on young adults with Down syndrome. We have many members transitioning out of high school this year, please share your own success stories with us! As the school year approaches, we've included some information on sleep habits, with hope for an earlier bed time.
The hardworking staff at the Center are doing double time as the busy season arrives with school starting and the Buddy Walk approaching, We really cannot say enough about the staff at EPDSC. They are phenominal! Without them, we would not be able to achieve the quality services we have or run all the great social activities, educational programs and fundraisers. So next time you see one of the staff members or one of our dedicated volunteers, take the time to tell thm that you really appreciate them and what they do for EPDSC.
God Bless,
Keither Frisch
President
