Walk Day Information

The Lehigh Valley Buddy Walk® is more than a walk, it’s a family reunion. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does or just want to show your support – we invite you to join us on Saturday, October 7th, for the 24th Annual Lehigh Valley Buddy Walk®!  

During the 2023 Buddy Walk®, you will join more than 1,200 walkers from all over Eastern PA as we unite for a common cause and raise funds to support the Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center.

*Individuals with Down syndrome have complimentary registration, but still must be registered! 

EVENT DAY TIMELINE:

  • 12:00 PM to 1:30PM: Registration & Block Party set up opens
  • 1:45 PM: Opening Ceremonies Begin
  • 2:00 PM: Walk Begins
  • 2:30 PM: Block Party & Event Activities begin
  • 4:00 PM: Raffle closes, drawing to follow
  • 4:45 PM: Closing Ceremony

What is the Block Party?

The block party is a post walk celebration where teams set up “pop” tents to enjoy their lunch and activities together as a group. Tables, chairs, and decorations are welcome and the teams responsibility. Some teams bring their own food & snacks like a “tailgate” party. Please NO ALCOHOL. Tents may ONLY be set up after you’ve checked in.
